Deborah is also a repeat recipient of the San Diego State University Writer's Conference "Editor's Choice Award". The Dream Stitcher won first place in the Writer's Digest 2019 IndieReader Discovery Awards. In addition to two full length works of fiction, her short story "Weekend at the Pere Marquette" appeared in Creative Writing Demystified by Sheila Bender, as well as in the online writing magazine, Writingitreal. Synchronicities on the Avenue of the Saints won first place in the Mainstream/Literary 2022 Writer's Digest Self Published Book Awards. She has raised four children and resides in Southern California with her husband, an exuberant Chocolate Lab and two feral cats. When she is not writing, you can find her on the lawn bowling green.
