Although Deanna might not have been Texas born, that is where she grew up, so she considers herself a good old Texas gal! With an Airforce father, her family moved around a lot. She lived three years in Japan but was too little to remember the experience. Moving from place to place, Deanna was always the new kid, so she couldn't be shy. Anyone who knows her or has met her will tell you being shy is not a problem she has. She loves meeting people and making friends wherever she goes—the grocery store, the park, the mall, calling her utilities company—nobody is a stranger to her. Since her junior year in high school, her ambition was to be an author. However, she ended up married at a young age and started a family. Her real life delayed, and she buried her writing career dreams. But there was a plan, and it played out when a chain of events unfolded and brought her right back to writing and her passion. She currently has three published works in her Jack West detective series, with the 4th book releasing in September 2022. She also wrote a young adult fantasy/time travel novel (Saving A Sioux Legacy) and even a children’s book (Gracie's Stories); she is working on her first FBI book with a breakout character from her fourth Jack West novel. Deanna feels as if she is one of the rare lucky ones who has seen her dreams reach full circle, from wanting to be a writer, to becoming a full-time, full-fledged author. Dreams do come true.
