David Widner

David Widner is the nephew of John & Clarence Anglin. From his earliest years, he was exposed to frequent interrogative visits from the FBI and family stories of their famed prison escapes. For several decades he has worked alongside his mother and brother Kenneth Widner helping preserve their family history. David was instrumental in helping catalog family photographs and early archival records that has resulted in the discovery of materials that lending new theories in the 1962 Alcatraz escape. Having contributed to several television based documentaries, David is also one of the principal subjects in the History Channel documentary Alcatraz: Search for the Truth.
