David is a practicing lawyer and technical expert. Highlights of his legal career include clerking for Justice Antonin Scalia of the Supreme Court, and for Chief Judge Alex Kozinski of the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has written extensively in legal publications, including an oft-cited statistical analysis of the Supreme Court's docket. David received a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he graduated second in his class and was awarded the Order of the Coif.
