David Price has been a historical interpreter for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park since 2014 and leads guided tours focusing on the “Ten Crucial Days” of the American Revolution and other historical aspects of Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA), a registered National Historic Landmark. He is also a historical interpreter at Princeton Battlefield State Park (NJ) on behalf of the Princeton Battlefield Society. David was awarded the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Bronze Good Citizenship Medal in recognition of his work as an author, speaker, and historical interpreter. He is a member of various national and local organizations relating to the Revolution, and his blog—"Speaking of Which" at dpauthor.com—covers a variety of topics relating to that subject. Patrick K. O'Donnell—bestselling author and “one of the world’s preeminent military historians” according to the U.S. Army's Military Review—has praised David's work, calling JOHN HASLET'S WORLD "the definitive treatment of this hero" and THE ROAD TO ASSUNPINK CREEK "must reading for anyone interested in the Revolution." David's most recent book, THE BATTLE OF HARLEM HEIGHTS, 1776, has been described as "remarkably well-researched, readable, and informative" by The Journal of America's Military Past. David's has written extensively for the Journal of the American Revolution (JAR). His article on "Thomas Knowlton's Revolution" was included in JAR's 2022 edition of its annual hardcover book, which features the best articles from the prior year as selected by the editors, and his article on "Edward Hand's American Journey" is in the 2023 edition. A graduate of Drew University, David holds an M.A. in political science from Rutgers University—New Brunswick, where he was an Eagleton Fellow, and worked as a nonpartisan research analyst with the Office of Legislative Services of the New Jersey State Legislature for 31 years. He lives in Lawrence Township, NJ.
