David C. Olsen, PhD, LCSW, is a marriage and family therapist whose passion is working intensively with couples. David has served as the Executive Director of Samaritan Counseling Center in Scotia, NY for over 26 years, and has authored several books including the Spiritual Work of Marriage, Integrative Family Therapy, The Couples Survival Workbook, and When Helping Starts to Hurt. In addition, he has penned numerous journal articles and is a regular contributor to media articles and features. David presents workshops nationally on topics involving families and couples, and is an adjunct professor at Sage Graduate School, where he teaches couple and sex therapy.
