DAVE HILL is a comedian, writer, musician, and actor originally from Cleveland but now living in New York City. He has written for The New York Times, The Paris Review, Salon, GQ, McSweeney's, Guitar World, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer among other publications. He is a regular contributor to public radio's This American Life and Live from Here and hosts his own radio show, The Goddamn Dave Hill Show, every Monday on free-from radio station WFMU in Jersey City, New Jersey. Dave has appeared frequently on Comedy Central's @midnight and Inside Amy Schumer and TBS' Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and even starred in his own TV series, The King of Miami on the MOJO Network. He has also appeared on BBC America, MTV, and Adult Swim among others and is a regular host on HBO and Cinemax. Dave performs live comedy in theaters and basements across the globe. He also plays guitar and sings in his own rock band Valley Lodge whose song "Go" is the theme to HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, as well as the psychedelic rock band Painted Doll and the black metal band Witch Taint. In his new book book Parking the Moose, Hill, inspired by a publisher's payment of several hundred dollars (Canadian) in cash, explores his Canadian roots, reconnecting with his heritage in such places as Montreal, Moose Jaw, Regina, Winnipeg, Merrickville and of course Clinton, Ontario, meeting a range of Canadians, touching things he probably shouldn't and having adventures too numerous and rich in detail to be done justice in this blurb. It is a literary thrill ride you will want to experience again and again. Dave's second book, Dave Hill Doesn't Live Here Anymore, was published by Blue Rider Press in 2016. His first book, Tasteful Nudes, was published by St. Martins Press in 2012. For more information on Dave and his exploits, please visit his popular website at www.davehillonline.com.
