Dave Cullen is the author of the New York Times bestseller Columbine, a haunting portrait of two killers and the victims. It made two dozen Best of 2009 lists and won the Edgar Award and Goodreads Choice Award for best nonfiction book of 2009, and the B&N Discover Award for best nonfiction of the year by a new author.

Dave has written for New York Times, Vanity Fair, BuzzFeed, Politico, Times of London, New Republic, Newsweek, Guardian, Washington Post, Daily Beast, Slate, Salon, The Millions, Lapham's Quarterly, and NPR's On The Media. Dave is writing Parkland, about the birth of a movement to end the school shooter era. The Parkland tragedy struck while he was in the late stages of writing a book about gay soldiers through the eyes of two army buddies. He will finish that book next. Dave is a former gay infantry grunt and has been following the pair for 18 years. Dave wrote Columbine in Colorado, then moved to NYC. He is uncle to eleven cool humans and one adorable corgi, Bobby Sneakers.
