I am a mother of two boys and a grandmother of three boys. My husband and I have been married for 39 years this year. Some days it seems like forever, and some days like yesterday. Life goes by in a blink when you aren't paying attention. When my boys were young, we spent a lot of time with them watching football, baseball, and wrestling. My husband coached many baseball teams for the boys over the years. We also volunteered to keep the programs running, whether in the concession stands, umpiring the games, or feeding the teams in between the games. We even got talked into running the baseball program and concession stand for a couple of years. Now we are enjoying the grandkids starting into sports and we get to be a spectator and enjoy watching them try the different sports of their choice. About 16 years ago when my husband's mom passed away, his dad was struggling to find purpose. When he was younger, he was into raising, racing, and training horses. We decided that he might find solid ground again if he had a horse. So the two of them went looking. The thing was, they came back with two. Thus started our next adventure. We now have six beautiful, happy Arabians we look after each day. The grandkids love to come and love on them and ride. It is a great way to de-stress after a long day at work. When I started this venture into writing, it was not something I was expecting to do. If each book helps at least one person, or gives them a smile, then I have accomplished what I wanted to do.
