Dan Maccarone is an American user experience designer, entertainer, bar owner and author of The Barstool MBA, an Audible Original. Dan is the co-founder of two digital design studios, Hard Candy Shell and Charming Robot. He holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and degrees in English and Performing Arts from Colby College. Throughout his career he has helped launch online products such as Hulu, Foursquare, Rent the Runway and LearnVest as well as worked on redesigning the digital presence of media and entertainment brands such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Gawker, Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Billboard and CNN. He also hosts the weekly podcast Story in a Bottle, where he interviews thought leaders in media, tech and entertainment over their favorite beer, wine or cocktail.
