Dakota Senese is a local bestselling independent author who, when not writing, enjoys cooking, talking with his friends and family, cuddling his four furbabies, and working to keep his community afloat in whatever ways he can. His past community projects have included volunteering as a youth mentor, cooking for a low-income meal program, running a pay-what-you-can food pantry, and numerous other projects involved in preserving the dignity of those that society would deem outcasts. Currently, he is working on a new food security initiative called Taste of Paradise, which is a series of educational YouTube videos about using the food resources at your disposal to cook cheap, nutritious, and tasty food. While his first book, Middle to Margins, outdid all expectations and put him on the local bestseller list for two weeks, his pride and joy are the Second Chance Chronicles and the Aladon Arboretum series, which find unlikely heroes in the weakest of society. He hopes his writing serves to show that, if given the chance, even the most marginalized can rise to the occasion and save the day.
