DB Rhys (1973- ) born in Pasadena, Texas, grew up around Kansas City, Missouri. Another writer following the unconventional path of wartime authors, DB is a combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, where served with the 101st Airborne Division as a combat medic from 2004-2014. He now splits his time in the KC Metro area and the Philippines where he continues to write and volunteer his medical expertise in support of unfunded humanitarian aid programs.
