D.S. Martin is a Canadian whose poems have been published extensively in publications in Canada, the UK, the US, Australia, Singapore and Ireland — such as in Canadian Literature, The Christian Century, Dalhousie Review, Event, The Irish Times, Mockingbird, Quadrant, Queen’s Quarterly, Sojourners, and Spiritus. He is Poet-in-Residence at McMaster Divinity College, and Series Editor for the Poiema Poetry Series from Cascade Books — where he has edited more than fifty books, including the anthology The Turning Aside: The Kingdom Poets Book of Contemporary Christian Poetry (2016). He has written five previous poetry collections including Angelicus (2021), Ampersand (2018), Conspiracy of Light: Poems Inspired by the Legacy of C.S. Lewis (2013), Poiema (2008), and his chapbook So the Moon Would Not Be Swallowed (2007). He is also internationally known for his blog Kingdom Poets — an extensive archive of poets of the Christian faith. His new book The Role of the Moon (2025) is published by Iron Pen/Paraclete Press.
