Craig is a retired Navy SEAL, Vietnam War vet and a pioneer in the deep-sea diving industry. As a member of SEAL Team One, he was assigned to MACV-SOG in DaNang where he trained South Vietnamese Sea Commandos in clandestine missions into North Vietnam. Many of these operations required a stealthy insertion and extraction using underwater propulsion systems and closed circuit diving equipment. Upon discharge from the Navy, he began his commercial diving career in the offshore oil and gas industry. His underwater adventures have taken him to some of the deepest and most hostile parts of our oceans. Highlights of his career include several unprecedented dives in the stormy waters of the North Sea, body recovery from a mysterious jetliner crash in Venezuela, and habitat diving to 600 feet as part of the US Navy Man-In-The-Sea program in Hawaii. His career in the commercial diving industry culminated with a senior management position with the world’s largest diving company where he was responsible for all offshore operations in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Singapore. Many of these operations required the use of saturation diving systems, manned submersibles, remote-controlled underwater vehicles, and experimental diving equipment and procedures. Craig captured some of his most electrifying experiences as a SEAL and a professional deep-sea diver in his first book, No Lifeguard on Duty - Legacy of a Navy SEAL. While this memoir chronicles many of his perilous exploits, it also paints a soulful portrait of the relentless struggle to find a harmonious balance between the woman he loved and the seductive elicitations from the sea. The power of love won the battle and Craig changed careers by joining a team of laser technologist who had developed an innovative high-power laser system for military, medical and, industrial applications. Over the next twenty-five years, he authored numerous award-winning technical papers and helped several laser start-up companies grow to multi-million-dollar enterprises. Fast forward to the 2020s and you'll witness the genesis of the Talking Dolphins. This four-book series takes inquisitive readers on an exhilarating journey into the world of bottlenose dolphins and man’s quest to communicate with these incredibly intelligent and magnanimous animals. Lacking syntax and impossible to translate with the most powerful supercomputers, protagonist Doctor Greg Mason and his team of linguists discover the secret to communicating with dolphins. Rather than trying to decipher their language… teach them ours. Inherently peaceful, a few of these brave marine friends join humans as agents of virtue and justice in the fight against drug cartels, foreign mercenaries, psychopaths and terrorists, For the most intrepid readers, his most recent projects, Battle of the Extremophiles and Blowout deliver pulsating odysseys of predictive science-fiction. Grounded in empirical scientific data and state-of-the-art technological advances, these mesmeric thrillers provide insight into the terrifying dynamics of Mother Nature and the breakthroughs, pestilence and apocalyptic abominations mankind may encounter during the next twenty years. Craig lives in Southern California with his wife, Lynn. On March 6, 2019, they celebrated their fifty-fourth anniversary.
