Claudia Myrie was born in Hackney, London to Ghanaian immigrant parents, spent a few years in Accra, Ghana and returned to London in 1990. Whilst schooling in the Uk, Claudia discovered a passion for the English language but always struggled. Claudia was later diagnosed with dyslexia but would still not let that discourage her love for the language. In 2015, Claudia had a daughter and she wanted to share that love she had for poems and short stories with her, by writing this first part of the series of ‘Elissy’s World’ for her, so she can not only have a book the starred her daughter but one that taught positive character traits as well as about various countries and cultures.
