Christina Crook is the writer who gave up digital media for 31 days as an experiment in understanding intentionality, presence and technology. She is an essayist and TEDx speaker who writes about art and culture for UPPERCASE magazine and spends her days in the all-consuming company of her three adorable children. She is a sister to seven far-flung siblings, a rower from a way back, and prefers to travel on foot. She doesn't like hashtags but if she has to use them they're #JOMO and #humansaregood. She likes paper. Crook's first book, The Joy of Missing Out, has appeared in over 100 media outlets including The New York Times, Psychology Today, NPR, Hands Free Mama, Utne Reader, CTV, CBC, and Huffington Post. "Engaging, thought-provoking and delightfully easy to read, The Joy of Missing Out provides practical insights and much-needed hope for an overwhelmed society." --Dr. Susan Biali, M.D., Psychology Today blogger and author, Live a Life You Love
