Christian Meyer grew up in the German Democratic Republic. Travel freedom did not exist there until 1989. Experiencing two antagonistic political systems, he appreciates his freedom even more today, but still a child of socialism- now a seeker and thinker. A professionally trained Auto Electrician, Christian has spent the last sixteen years living and working in Canada, but traveled extensively across Europe and North America. Twenty years ago he began his odyssey in Malta, learning about the history of the region and walking the paths of his characters portraying it in fiction. Christian lives and works out of his home in Edmonton, Alberta and spends his summers traveling, hiking and camping in the prairies and Rockies.
