Christian Carvajal, Carv to his friends, was born in San Pedro, CA on 12 June 1968. He earned bachelor's degrees in communications (theatre emphasis) and math for secondary education from East Central University (Ada, OK) in 1993, then a master of fine arts degree in theatre directing from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale in 1997. He moved back to Los Angeles shortly thereafter, where he worked in and around the film and television industry and started his professional writing career. He returned to Oklahoma in 2004 and helped found a community theater group, then moved to Olympia, Washington in 2008. His first published novel, Lightfall, was released for a short time in 2009 before its first publisher left the market. That novel was rereleased by Campanile Books in 2014. Meanwhile, Carv began writing for The Weekly Volcano, an alt-weekly newspaper, as one of its regular critics and columnists. Other works include Rereading the Bible: Agnostic Insights Into Genesis, the Gospels, and Revelation (nonfiction) and a number of short produced plays. In July 2015, writing as Lynn Savage, he released a new ebook, Mr. Klein's Wild Ride, about the tragicomic opening weekend of a California theme park for swingers.
