With a degree in Elementary Education, Cheryl taught kindergarten through fifth grade for over ten years, during which time she was recognized as “Teacher of the Year.” She also owned a pre-school for three years. As an educator and mother, Cheryl has long recognized the importance of getting children interested in reading at a very young age and has always had a great appreciation for good children’s stories that engage a child’s mind as well as their imagination. Over twenty years ago, Cheryl began the process of developing characters for a series of children’s book with her husband’s uncle who had a love for writing and a wonderful, creative imagination. While the characters had their beginning back then, life got in the way and the stories were set aside. Uncle Jim passed away and Cheryl made a pledge to herself to bring these delightful characters to life in books that would enthrall and delight children of all ages. Her first children’s book, Darling the Curly Tailed Reindoe was published in September of 2010, and its sequel, Darling Saves Christmas – The Continuing Adventures of Darling the Curly Tailed Reindoe is slated for release in October of 2010. Cheryl is in the process of completing several more stories that will introduce the world to other adorable characters. To Cheryl, these stories are a fulfillment of a promise and an act of love for an uncle who has passed. Born and raised in Chicago, Cheryl has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 41 years. Cheryl and her husband, Don, live in North Georgia and have two adult children. To Contact Cheryl:
