Carol Bass was born in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up reading fantasy novels with her grandmother, instilling in her a love for storytelling from a young age. She graduated with honors from Cornell University, where she studied literature, playwriting, and screenwriting, and then migrated to Los Angeles to pursue television writing where she has written episodes of L.A.'S FINEST. She enjoys Martial Arts and has a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 3rd degree black belt in Goju Shorei Weapons. She’s also a runner, having completed the Dopey Challenge, a four-day event totaling 48.6 miles. Basically, Carol’s covered for whichever choice her fight or flight instinct makes. She is excited to have finished her first middle grade fantasy novel and looks forward to many more to come.
