Candace (Candy) Campbell, DNP, RN, CNL, CEP, LNC, FNAP, was born in Portland, Oregon, and lives in the San Francisco area. Dr Campbell is an international speaker, award-winning filmmaker (Micropremature Babies: How Low Can You Go?), actress (The Calling), educator, and author. Besides a series of children's books (sidebar), her projects include three solo shows, a film script about a military nurse who unwillingly serves in Vietnam, and the book that answers 21st c. questions from that Victorian icon's point of view, "Channeling Florence Nightingale: Integrity, Insight, Innovation." Dr Campbell's work with the March of Dimes includes public speaking, as well as sharing profits of her film and children's books. She sits on the AWHONN Editorial Board of Advisors and writes for their Healthy Mom & Baby magazine (www.Health4Mom.org). Candy has been featured on national media on a wide range of topics related to leadership, nursing education, and public health policy.
