Jim Bob Swafford was born in Decatur, Texas the County Seat of Wise In 1940. Growing up he had a huge imagination always drawing and writing. In the mid 1950's Jim Bob was exposed to the Artists and Writers in Taos, New Mexico where he often visited his cousin Max Evans. The legendary writer of the book and movie, "The Rounders." His relationship with Max as a teenager formed his love for art as a painting. Jim Bob now in his late 70s and Max in his mid nineties they both are still young at heart. Jim Bob has alway said, "I want to me like cousin Max." Jim Bob is a late comer to writing. His book "The Other Side of Me, memoirs of Vietnam Marine" was written in honor to his younger brother DL Swafford who suffered from extreme PTSD. A book widely accepted by Vietnam veterans. He has ventured into the young adult genre with his latest book, "The Gallant Knights."
