Having worked with women for years as a midwife and public health nurse. Breeda returned to education completing a psychology degree in 2018 and a sociology masters in 2020. Her master’s dissertation involved interviewing women on their experiences and understandings of menopause and menopause health in Ireland. Menopause guidebooks for everyday women were not widely available in 2018. With silence emerging as the real enemy. Opening the conversation by setting up the Midlife Women Rock Project and Cafes in 2019 has enabled her to share her knowledge with the 100’s of women she has met and coached on their journeys through menopause. Issues from menopause brain fog, menopause weight loss, menopause hormones and HRT and menopause facts are regularly discussed.
She regularly contributes to media and increasingly provides workplace presentations. Breeda is a mother of 4, adores everything tennis and is a dog and nature lover. By writing this menopause book, a menopause bible for any woman aged 35 to 60, she is adding her voice to the growing number of menopause books for women in 2021.
