Bohn Phillips was born on December 23, 1934 in Shawnee Oklahoma. He grew up in Houston, Texas, but graduated from high school in Berkeley, California. His father was a policeman and his mother a waitress. They divorced when he was eight years old. He entered pilot training in the USAF at the age of nineteen. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and won his wings in 1955. He separated from the air force in August, 1958 and immediately entered into an accelerated academic program at the University of Houston. He received a bachelor of science degree, cum laude, in 1960 and a doctor of laws degree in 1962. Phillips became a state prosecutor in Houston, Texas, in 1962 and entered private practice in 1964. In 1967, he was named Vice President and General Counsel for Jetty-Fagg, Inc. (a small manufacturing conglomerate which owned five companies) In 1968, he was named Chief, Special Investigations, Southwest Region, Dept of Energy. In 1979 he became a senior trial attorney, Dept of Justice, Washington, D.C. In 1981 he became an AUSA in the Virgin Islands, WI. In 1984 he was named a senior trial attorney, Organized Crime and Raketeering section, DOJ. In 1987, he entered the seminary of the Redemptorist Order of Priests. In 1990, he returned to private practice. On August 3, 1996, he married the love of his life, Jennifer M. Chin. He currently lives with Jennifer, in Miami, FL.
