Blant's latest writing endeavor is his newly-released memoir, The Awkward Ozarker: A Curious Tale of Self-Reinvention in a Scantily Settled Land. His 2001 novel, Healer's Twilight, was described in a 5-star review in Midwest Book Review as "a medical thriller about the human cost of managed care..."
Blant's columns on business, politics and Arkansas Razorback football, among other sundry topics, have appeared in Arkansas Business, Jonesboro Sun and The Wall Street Journal. He and his wife live in a 102-year-old house in Jonesboro, Arkansas and, as often as possible, escape to their cabin up in the Ozark Mountains, where he admits to being a fish-out-of-water but nonetheless thoroughly enjoys hanging out.
