Blant's latest writing endeavor is "Not The Seasons I Expected." This memoir follows his life and times as an ardent college football fan, and it is being serialized in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, one of the nation's larger newspapers. This is Blant second memoir, following "The Awkward Ozarker," which was highly acclaimed. His 2001 novel, "Healer's Twilight," was described in a 5-star review in Midwest Book Review as "a medical thriller about the human cost of managed care..." Blant's columns on business, politics and Arkansas Razorback football, among other sundry topics, have appeared in Arkansas Business, the Jonesboro Sun and The Wall Street Journal. He and his wife live in a century-old house in Jonesboro, Arkansas and, as often as possible, he escapes to their cabin over in the Ozark Mountains, where he admits to being a fish-out-of-water, yet nonetheless enjoys hanging out.
