Betty Willis has been interested in Texas History all her life. She spent summers with her two grandmothers who told her about their past lives. Reading Historical books are still a favorite past-time. She loves to speak to groups encouraging everyone to document their family histories. Texas Quest is Betty’s third book. Her first was Ruby Remembers, written from her mother’s memories of her life. The second was Mattie, based on the life of her dyslexic grandmother. Texas Quest is based on her Great-Great Grandfather’s immigration from Germany to Galveston. Betty gives God the glory in her stories and in her life. She was raised in Abbott, Texas, in Hill County. Betty received Baylor University’s Alumnae-By-Choice Degree. She has been one of Waco, Texas’ top Realtors for many years. She has been a volunteer at Gatesville State Prison for women. Many of the released prisoners stay in touch with Betty because she cares about them. Betty is a member Waco’s Rotary Club and First Baptist Woodway and attends two Bible Studies. Betty can be reached at BettyWillis.com and BettyWillis@hot.rr.com.
