Beka Modrekiladze is a theoretical physicist, author, and computer scientist. He is currently a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University. He has worked on Gravitational Waves, Effective Field Theory for Binary Black Holes, Neutron Star Merger, and Exotic Stars; he also explored Black Hole Information Paradox, its Event Horizon, and Quantum Information. He has also created models for Accretion Disk and Astrophysical Jet. Modrekiladze has become known to a wider audience through his popular science book, Eternal Gods Die Too Soon. He has been a guest speaker at the ISGS and gave a talk at NSF AI Institute: Planning: Physics of the Future. In February 2022, he was a guest on the Next Podcast to discuss Extra Dimensions. Modrekiladze was born in Tbilisi. A child prodigy in chess from the age of 4, he reached candidate master standard at the age of 9. After attending Physics–Mathematical High School and graduating Art college, specializing in piano, he entered Tbilisi State University in 2013. After completing his degree in physics, he began his PhD at Carnegie Mellon University in 2018.
