Barbara Rose Brooker, is a native San Francisco author, journalist and performer. She has published fiction with Morrow, and recently with Simon & Schuster, and other presses. Her latest novel Love, Sometimes, published Feb 2020, Post Hill Press/Simon Schuster. The audible is now released. "The Viagra Diaries" published by Simon & Schuster, thirteen foreign countries (Holland, Spain, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Poland, Taiwan, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and more) and Audio Go Publishing, is in development for a TV series. She writes a column, Boomer In The City, about love after sixty for The Huffington Post and the SF JWeekly. She has a MA and is teaching writing at SFSU/OLLI and at private workshops. She is the founder of the first ever Age March in history to celebrate our real age and protest ageism. She is a regular on local and national TV. In Feb, 2020, she was on Inside Edition, Extra, ABC, CBS, The Today Show, and many other shows. A speaker, she talks at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club and at other national venues about fighting ageism in our anti-age culture. She is the founder of the first virtual AGEMARCH/AGEMAGNIFICENT movement in history. This event to be March, 2021. She is at work on her memoir.
