I teach Classics at Oxford and play the cello in a piano trio. I always wanted to know how ancient Greek music actually sounded, and I think I've made a breakthrough - my Youtube video 'Rediscovering Ancient Greek music (2017)' has had over half a million views. I also wanted to know what Socrates was really like, and uncovered a lot of new or neglected evidence, including his acquaintance with Aspasia of Miletus, who clearly was a huge intellectual influence on him. My book Socrates in Love was published in March 2019.
