Arent van 't Spijker
Throughout his career, Arent van 't Spijker (1970), has merged business strategy, emerging technology and business innovation to form new concepts, products and companies. During the late 1990's he founded several Internet startups, creating some of the first data driven websites and innovative e-learning concepts. Between 2004 and 2013 he pioneered the field of online data mining and unstructured data analytics and gained recognition in the field of Business- and Competitive Intelligence. During this period he first coined the phrase Data Driven Strategy. In 2013, Van't Spijker joined BlinkLane Consulting in Amsterdam, strengthening its Business Model Innovation practice with his ideas on Data Driven Strategy, leading to the publication of his book on the subject, The New Oil, in the summer of 2014. Van 't Spijker works from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
