Annie Hogsett grew up in a remarkably small town in West Virginia. She earned her MA in eighteenth century English literature from West Virginia University. After six years spent in this rather scholarly endeavor, it may be no surprise that Annie ditched Wordsworth and Coleridge, followed a guy to Cleveland, and fell into an advertising agency where she learned how to write compelling fiction in a hurry. And how to swear. Not counting NaNoWriMo and an early attempt lost to the exercise of better judgment, Annie has completed four novels, but TOO LUCKY TO LIVE, the story of an accidental 550-million-dollar MondoMegaJackpot, published by Poisoned Pen Press in May of 2017, is the first to see the light of readers. The second in her Somebody’s Bound To Wind Up Dead Mystery Series, MURDER TO THE METAL, released in June 2018. Annie lives within splashing distance of Lake Erie in the City of Cleveland with her husband, Bill, and their unfortunately aptly-named cat, Cujo. The lake, the husband, and the cat provide encouragement for her writing but much of the inspiration of Annie’s stories of murder, mayhem, and romance is supplied by her city.
