Angela Reich is a lifelong resident of New York, Long Island's South Shore, where she serves as docent for the historical Fire Island Lighthouse, and sails as crew member for the Long Island Maritime Museum’s 1888 historic oyster sloop "Priscilla." Currently an independent researcher, she has shared her knowledge of Long Island’s maritime history, giving lectures for Fire Island National Seashore and for various Long Island historical societies. A Ph.D. in literature, Reich has published articles on literary criticism in professional journals, and a book on John Milton's poetic techniques. SHIPWRECK OF HOPES is her first novel.
