Back in the early 1980's I was a wanna be author with a not very much published material to my name. Then I came across computers. One article published in the Apple Users' magazine led to a couple more in the same magazine - then even more in magazines for both home users and professionals. A short series on programming adventure games led to a one book contract, which turned into a four book contract. That led to my co-authoring a book on "Turbo PROLOG" - which was dropped by the software house about 6 months later. Still, the book sold well, and by the time it lost its glitter I was working as a trainer and technical author for the "systems integration" section of a major telecomms company. My next two books, both written in the mid-1990s, marked a change in direction to make use of my training in social psychology (I have a first degree in the subject, an NLP Master Practitioner certificate, and a couple of qualifications in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, plus well over two decades' of experience in personnel/training/6th form college education. For the last 10 years I have been working as a freelance writer. I now have a new book ready for publication - on storytelling - once the illustrations have been completed; with three other books in various stages of completion. I also run three websites, one on Charles Darwin, one on the Tennessee/Scopes Monkey Trial, and of course one on NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
