Alyssa Pierce was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. Driven by her love of books, she began writing at a young age. By the time she graduated from high school, she had been published in three poetry anthologies, as well as three editions of her high school's literary magazine, which she was Editor of during her senior year. "Caroline & Rebecca: Rebecca Gets Into Trouble" was her first book, published when she was just 19 years old. "Caroline and Rebecca's Day at the Beach" is the second book in the series. Both are based on childhood bedtime stories her mother told her. She's currently attending Rutgers University where she is pursuing a degree in English Literature.
