Pastor Alvin Dawkins is an Inspirational Speaker, Author, and Success Coach. Currently, he is the Senior Pastor and founder of Christian Word Fellowship, a non- denominational ministry in Freeport, New York. He is married and has two children. Alvin is the son of a career U.S. Army soldier and spent the majority of his childhood traveling with his parents and six siblings worldwide. After graduating high school, Alvin attended the University of Maryland at the Ramstein, Germany campus, and then in 1980 he began his military career in the U.S. Army. After an honorable discharge in 1983 Alvin became a Police Officer in California and retired from the force in 1997. Retirement did not last long for Alvin—he entered into church ministry in 1993 and also started a second career in retail management, working at a District level for both Target Corporation and The Home Depot. After suffering a life threatening illness Alvin was forced to leave work in 2010—the illness resulted in the amputation of Alvin's right foot and lower leg. Alvin's trauma led him on a life search that allowed him to discover what he now shares with others. Through the compelling journey Alvin has discovered his life purpose—to share knowledge and understanding with all people leading them into a full and abundant life, and his big WHY—to honor his calling, passionately! Alvin shares this passion and the RISE to Greatness through his books, seminars, inspirational keynotes and speaking engagements, and in his private coaching and consulting practice. He is a graduate of the Success Coach Institute and in yet another aspiring career, he has successfully coached and inspired others to author books, develop businesses and start ministries. Pastor Alvin shows others how to live in greatness with his direct, insightful and honest approach, and specializes in inspiring individuals, entrepreneurs, and church leaders to realize and attain their highest potential.
