Alison Stine is a writer in Appalachia. Her debut adult novel THE GROWER will appear from Mira in fall 2020.

Her other books include OHIO VIOLENCE (University of North Texas Press) and THE PROTECTORS (Little A).

Her essay "On Poverty" went viral at The Kenyon Review. Her work has also appeared in The Atlantic, The Guardian, The Paris Review, Tin House, The Toast, and others, and she has been a storyteller on The Moth. A NEA fellow, she lives with her son in the rural foothills and works as reporter.
