Dr. Adeleke Adesina, DO is the CEO & founder of Smashusmle reviews (smashusmle.com), future teaching physicians lectures LLC (ftplectures.com), an online medical program for health care professional students in medicine, physician assistant, nursing, and pharmacy school. The company focuses on helping medical students to pass USMLE Step 1, Step 2CK, Step 3 with an online course and coaching program. Health care professionals can learn clinical medicine through online medical education videos.
Dr Adesina earned his B.Sc summa cum laude from Bloomfield College in Biochemistry and General Biology in 2008. He earned his doctorate degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine, in 2012. He was a former member of the admission committee at UMDNJ-SOM. During medical school, he tutored Clinical Anatomy and Physiology, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology. His passion for teaching is beyond recognition, he values teaching as an essential tool to build future generation of health care professionals. He wants to contribute to the field of Medicine through his teachings on the web to many students across the globe. His goal is to oversimplify difficult medical concepts for every student to learn and understand clinical medicine in a fun and interactive format.
He is the author of the book, USMLE and COMLEX Success Secrets, how to prepare for the medical boards, secrets for success on the USMLE and COMLEX and SmashUSMLE Step 1 High Yield Review. He was the co-author of 2 medscape articles, "Tips for surviving medical school and 10 unwritten rules for third year medical students". He makes online videos to inspire millions of students across the globe with interest in medical profession. He is the dean of Education for Diverse Medicine Inc, a mentoring organization from Duke University, department of internal medicine.
He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for medicine (GHHS), 2011 as a student physician who demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. He is an active member of numerous organizations, American academy of Emergency medicine (AAEM), American college of emergency physicians (ACEP), American college of osteopathic emergency physicians (ACOEP), Student National Medical Association (SNMA), New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (NJAOPS), American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He is currently board certified Emergency medicine attending at Houston Methodist hospital, Texas.
