The angst, tension, and pull between Rhea and Khoas was palpable. Which made them giving in to each other even more 🤌. Not to mention, the location was a big in your face moment.

I love how much they helped each other learn about their gifts. The full moon with Xander was a great look into his shifter family, too. I want to be Zen's mom when I grow up. She is one badass mama. The fact that Rhea takes care of not just her men but her friends during everything shows what a good heart she has.

*Spoilers*

Rhea’s speech to Mrs. Black at the luncheon was ON POINT and perfection.

I am hoping I’m wrong or missing something here but wasn’t it decided that the unit would help Rhea with her major water weakness? So far it’s looking like that didn’t happen. That would be a top of the list, first thing to work on… maybe she did and we find that out in this last installment? Anywho, mommy Nyx is on the scene and I AM HERE FOR IT! Overused f-bombs by every character and all.

4.0 out of 5 stars I have been a fan of the series since the first page of book 1

Rhea was put in a cage at the end of book 2 because Zellus had made it seem like she was a danger. We start this book off with the Elite looking for her. When they find her, there are some things Xander and Khaos have to talk through with Rhea to bring their group together. Rhea needs all of them to help ground her and her magic but she also wants to be there for them as well. Not to mention Zeus has told her to look for her mother and kill her.

Out of the three books this one is the weakest when it comes to plot. The first two books were 5 stars for me but this one lost a star because it pushed the spice and less plot. I get it, things get spicier, not always my cup of tea when it doesn’t further the plot for me. A little something would happen, boom spice! A smidgen of something else, boom spice! I found myself skipping a lot of it. I wanted more from the story, I feel like it is book 3 and we should be farther in the story than we find oursleves.

I feel like we didn’t learn a whole lot about Nyx, Zeus or Rhea’s significance to the Hex. I also feel like the complex characters from book one became a little one dimensional. Adonis was too whiny and reduced to just sex, as much as we got from Khaos in this book we still don’t know a whole lot about him and I feel like Zen and Xander were a bit boring.

I still really like this series and I like the new family dynamics that were introduced. Zen’s parents are amaze balls. Xander’s parents are on their road to reconnect with their son. Khaos’s mom sucks balls. And I feel like we will see more Hades that will shed better light on him in the next book.

The last couple of chapters were good and the cliffhanger really saved this book for me. Now we are getting somewhere! I just have to wait until December now.

A lot of rambling in this book. A lot of talk leading up to one moment that feels really repetitive and annoying. Starting to lose interest and hoping the next book has a more exciting storyline with a lot more depth as well as events to keep me interested. Glad she and Khaos finally completed the bond but I must admit…. He was the one I was expecting an explosive spicy scene from and it was not delivered at all. Hopefully the spice is more exciting moving forward.

5.0 out of 5 stars Walking into a trap…

We pick up where book 2 ended with Rhea in a cage in Zellus’ office. Zellus keeps thinking he’s got one over on Rhea but you don’t mess with a mama bear and Zen’s mom shows she’s not to be messed with. Soon he has to release Rhea and come up with another evil plot to get her where he wants her.

Rhea, Adonis, Xander and Zen have sealed their souls and the last but not least Khaos still has a little explaining to do before Rhea lets her guard down for him to finally seal the deal. There is a lot of sexual tension between them all and Adonis is definitely getting fueled by all of it. Lots of action of the steamy kind between Rhea and her guys in this one.

Zellus is up to his tricks and tries to make Rheas life miserable. Starting with trying to get her to take the test to see how powerful her magic will be but she turns the table on him to make the decision to give all the first and second years their powers early. She’s hoping that she made the right decision to get them involved but she can’t take it back.

Now they have little time to figure out what magic they have and how to use the gifts from Pandoras Box before the test. Rhea and her unit are keeping secrets to keep one step ahead of Zellus, Selene and her sidekicks. They know they will be walking into a trap and have prepared as best as they can.

I was prepared for a cliffhanger and boy did KC Kean bring it in this one. Woohoo I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I hope Zellus gets squashed like the bug he is!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite book of the series so far!

I gave myself a few days so that I could try to gather my thoughts to figure out what I wanted to say and y’all…I’m still a little speechless. This book is easily my favorite of the series so far, and yes a large part of that has to do with a certain event that I’ve been waiting for. 👀😏

Just when I thought I couldn’t love these characters anymore than I already do, KC Kean turns around and writes this book making me fall for them even more. But for real, can they please have a break already? They’ve already gone through their fair share of crap, and yet the hits just keep on coming. And with the way this book ended it’s clear that they’re not going to be getting a chance to just sit down and take a breath for quite awhile.

Speaking of the ending, I don’t know if it’s just me but I felt like the cliffhanger wasn’t as bad as others. Or maybe I’m just becoming immune to KC’s form torture that is her book endings. 😂 But for real, I have some theories about the events that occurred at the end which made it not seem as bad to me as it could have been. I had a lot theories going into this book, most of which I was right about. But now, between all of the things that happened and all of the revelations made in this book, I have so many more theories! I can’t wait to see how KC is going to wrap everything up and how this series will ultimately end.

Hopefully this entire word salad made sense 😂

WOW!

KC knocked another one out of the ballpark!! Book 3 brought it ALL!!

We start back with Rhea in an uncomfortable situation, again. As always, her men come to her rescue, proving again that everyone should have their own harem. As we learn more about Rhea and her powers the mystery continues to grow surrounding her mother, the academy, and her unit as a whole.

One thing that I loved about this book was getting more of a look at my main man Khaos! As expected, we still don’t love his parents, but the inside look in his head during the whole book was my favorite part. I think every time one of his chapters came up I definitely tried to read it faster.

And can we talk about spice?? Like WOWZA! As expected, the spice factor has gone way up in book three, and honestly I have no complaints. One of my favorite things that KC writes is group smexy scenes, and of course we get some. I’m still not sure if anything can top a Parker Parker scene (Featherstone is still my favorite), but this was pretty damn close.

Cliffhangers - love and hate them. Definitely hate them here, I have SO MANY questions!! And my questions have questions! I literally cannot wait until December, after which I’m sure I will go through another series withdrawals, most of which end with “GIVE ME MORE OF EVERYTHING!”

Can’t wait to see what comes next!!

My mind is all over the place after that cliffhanger ending!!!! KC Kean is completely messing with my mind because there are so many twist and turns added to this series! I literally gasped at the end of this book because I was waiting for this moment to happen but didn’t realize how it would happen! There is still so much to learn about Rhea and her powers but I cannot wait to discover everything else in the next and final book! I literally cannot put this series down!

What. Was. That. Ending?!?! I had a feeling something like that was bound to happen at some point in time during this series but 😱😱

This series is one of my favorites. It is different than any other that I have read and I have loved getting to know the characters. Things are starting to get a bit crazy during this one. People are trying to come between the Elites and Rhea. We are learning more about what they can do with their powers.

Rhea has faced an uphill battle since the moment she stuck her hand inside Pandora's Box and it seems like almost everyone is against her. The Elites and her friends seem to be the only ones that have her back, well, maybe a couple others, but not many. Her character has grown so much in the last couple books and I was so proud of her for standing up for others. Watching her put people in her place is a highlight in this one.

I cannot wait for Fearless Souls. I know the end is going to be epic and cannot wait to see where it goes!! Come on December!!
