In the author's note S.M. Anderson apologized to readers of his East of Eden series for the digression to book 3 of Seasons of Man. No apologies are needed. Both series are equally readable with strong, likeable characters, excellent plots and pacing and convincing realism. Can't wait for the next books in either series!

While not my usual genre, was really glad I started this very well written and easy to read post-apocalyptic trilogy.

I waited until the end of the trilogy to leave a review. I have been an avid reader for my entire life, and I can say hands down that this is one of the best trilogies I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read

I read all three in this series and enjoyed them. " Fast moving" and "action packed", describes them well. Lots of military and battle scenes, well portrayed. I also thought the characters were relatable and well developed. This would have been five stars but the last two in the series had enough typos to cost a star.
Having said that, anyone who enjoys good post apocalyptic fiction with a military bent, will like this series and I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real-time view of our world after all restraints are removed…

When politics are removed, what’s left in a post-apocalyptic society is what that society, and it’s members, truly value and believe. This series seems to take the rhetoric of today’s world and knead it into a storyline that is more than believable…it’s eerily an echo of today’s headlines, minus some details. It’s what you would expect to see if the future, post-apocalyptic society had newspapers.

Highly recommended!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Life is no longer as you knew it is a scary thought.

Its a 5 star for me a read that kept me awake until the early hours. A story that makes you think of your own survival of an event of this magnitude occurred with such a colossal loss of life. You would be praying for the assistance of such a man as Jason, Pavel and the marines.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Top Quality Book - Worth The Purchase!!!

Wow, just wow... Scott Anderson is back and firing on all cylinders.

I read the first novel in the "Seasons of Man" series back in late 2020, during my work as a security guard at a local hospital, which like the rest of the world. Was battling the devastating spread of the Covid-19 virus. During my work, i spent twelve hours a day watching over patients with a range of health concerns, thankfully on a regular basis, I could easily squeeze in a few hours of reading during my shifts, when the wards were quiet and peaceful, and the first novel I bought to help get me through many long and pretty uneventful shifts was End Of Summer. An odd pick you might think, considering i was spending so much time around patients with Covid-19. Yet, it proved to be an engaging, thought provoking, action packed book that i managed to read from cover to cover in three days, after reading the first novel so quickly, and being astounded by the quality of the writing, the character development, story progression, i immediately bought the second novel in the series and was blown away a second time... Well, i must say, the author has done it again, and I'm very impressed with this follow up, if you haven't read any of the books in this series, i can't recommend it enough. five stars.

The trilogy holds your attention and I found it difficult to pause while reading. The description of military action is detailed while the human story is developed. It’s a great action thriller with a plausible plot after the real life Covid-19 experience.
There are a lot of characters over 3 books so it can be confusing at times. A good understanding of eastern USA geography would also help with understanding the battlefield strategy. Maybe a map would help the non Americans?

5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling story

What I like about this book is it's essential future positive. While there are any number of bad guys, they aren't all evil. It's about how people come together and struggle to survive in a hostile world and how leaders are corrupted by power...absolutely.
