One of the best I've read, and I've read thousands of books. The Author tells a beautiful story of love, that the characters lacked in early life. Love is an amazing beautiful feeling.

This book is an absolute delight to read. Lark's captivating storytelling and vivid imagery draw you into a world of magic, mystery, and ancient creatures. The intricate plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat, leaving you guessing until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this enchanting novel, and it has easily become one of my all-time favorites. I would highly recommend "Deceive" to anyone who loves fantasy and adventure. If you're a fan of mythical beings, rich world-building, and well-developed characters, this book is a must-read.

This romance novel was soooo. out of my circle of what I usually read in fantasy romance novels but because of the reviews I decided to give it a whirl…

And I’m so happy I did!

Easy read but packed with high energy moments and plentiful of spice. (Like holy spice!!!) it just delivered.

Totally recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Bramblewicks

I enjoyed reading this story about Grace (witch) and Alasdair, Elliot and Broderick Bramblewick (gargoyles). The main characters were likeable, as were the secondary ones. It was interesting to see that gargoyle society was a lot like human society. It was also interesting that there were such things as "glamors" that made paranormals look human. This was sort of a slow burn book as Grace was looking for someone who could love her and went to a matchmaker. Elliot was who she was paired with. She didn't know he was already in a relationship with Alasdair and Broderick. Elliot knew she was who they needed to complete their mating. So this book is a MMMF story.

The sex was hot although I think Alasdair only had one sex scene with Grace and the other two had several. That didn't seem fair. Danger came in the form of a male witch that Grace dated for a little while. He turned out to be something you didn't want to be with as he was crazy.

One thing I thought was a little strange was that when a gargoyle died, he turned to stone. The former alpha, Lachlan, turned to stone and his statue was at Bramblewick Manor in a turret that everyone at the manor could go visit. I don't know, that just felt strange to me. I thought the story was a little long and there were several grammatical errors.

I do not recall if I fully understood that it was as a triad + 1, or if I just decided to give it a shot, but getting use to more than two people took some work for me this time around. Maybe it was outside forces, but I wasn’t as there, as I have been in the past, for group sexy times.

Outside of that, I’m giving the witch props for recognizing a good thing, even if it took a lie to get her there.

Before I go any further, I have a question. Are all romanticized gargoyles, like the ones we saw from the Disney show Gargoyles? Because other than their colorings, that is what I had in my head and what got cemented there when one of them “fluffed a pillow with his talons” while he was hold the witch in his arms, or one of them “clasped his wings together over his shoulders.”

The story is pretty darn good. I got to see more of that world like I mentioned in my last review for the Lake Monster book I believe.

When they got to the payment for the match maker, that made me want to read her story now. I’m so reading the stories out of order. But I’m good.

Now this story has a good ending after a small fright that I was willing to believe would stick, but if you want more than that, follow the link to get a bonus extended ending. Which is what I did.

I completely recommend this story for your SiFi, fantasy?, Romance collection. The only reason this didn’t get full stars from me, other than very few get full stars from me, is the multiple mates. I will not turn down a good orgy, but constantly having to work with and over more than two other people is too much for me. I’m not meant for those kinds of relationships. But if you are, you may like this book more than I did.

The next thing is just me being a little unfair. The extended ending had a few gaps for me. Most, if not all, won’t be seen by the majority who read it. Except the one with her friend at the party. I read that over a number of times and I don’t know what she really meant.

Which leads me to looking for her friend’s book too.

So this book is great. Drama, suspense, love, new friends and a very happy ending.

A found family love story between a sweet nature witch with a love and power for reading impressions in books. A Gargoyle mated triad a little lost after suffering a tragic loss to their clan. A match made by the Love Bathhouse, or mechanism by Elliott, one of the Gargoyles or fate. Wonderful read with swoonworthy declarations. Excellent characters and sweet dynamics. The book is filled with suspense, drama, spice, and love.
Found family. MM. Mated. Breeding. Deranged ex. Magic system. Stalking. Knotting. Light dom.

Reminiscent of the 90s TV series of Gargoyles, this book had a lot going for it. Fun plot, spice, good storyline, a matchmaker, a little drama and a touch of heartache. I love this why choose/poly love story where the witch gets three gargoyles for the price of one. This story is about found family and finding your place in a world you feel alone in.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (group & individual relationships)
Characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (each guy had a distinct and interesting personality which is always hard to do in a why choose story)
Plot: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (enough spice and storyline to keep the story flowing)
Setting: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (love this new world. Can't wait to read more about it)

Warning: if stories of stalking and family trauma are triggers please consider if this book is right for you.

The storyline was interesting with a heavy dose of emotions. The way every character goes through their set of emotions and deals with ot. The story has a simple yet very engaging plot. Their relationship goes through all the genuine changes that can be described, and it is very detailed by the author. The climax had a twist to it, which was so good.

I enjoyed this book. There wasn’t a super strong plot like I’m used too, but the rest of the book still kept me interested. I read some of the previous reviews and it almost made me not want to read it. I’m glad I took a chance tho. The fmc has had a rough go growing up in a family that was more interested in status and riches than family bonding. The fmc wants more tho, so she signs up at a matchmaker. Gets matched with 1 guy, who deceived both the matchmaker, the fmc, and his own mates… all for the good of finding his mates missing piece that completes his own mates “family”. Which is exactly what the fmc wanted. Turns out the men are gargoyles, and the fmc is a witch whose power is akin to reading signatures/history off inanimate objects, works best on paper. There’s a side issue of a date gone wrong who turns into a stalker. Turns out Stalker dude has some gambling debts and wants to marry the witch to get her family money. It kinda felt like the author needed to fill in a hole in the story and rushed that part of the plot. The romance between the fmc and her men was believable but the stalker seemed like a bit of an after thought. I hoped there would have been more to it, it was such a small part of the book compared to the rest of the story of the fmc falling in love with her gargoyles. That is the only reason why I rated it 4*. Otherwise I loved the book. They all have a happy ending and they all claim her, the previous reviewer obviously skimmed that part when they said Alsadair didn’t claim his witch. Sometimes I refuse to read reviews because if the reader can’t give an honest review on the whole book, ur gonna gonna try and spoil it for others, at least read the flipping book and be honest! Ugh. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I also had to get some new underwear. The sex scenes, the knotting, was Hot! I hope you enjoy it!
