Excellent story, spun from massive plot elements and conflicts. There is true evil…those who cause mayhem and destroy others to support their goals of complete control. There are many good and valiant men and women…also heartache, friendship, love, betrayal, etc.. There are amazing themes of loyalty and growth. But, all of this is shared with a backdrop of war and military alliances, strategies and action. If you want to read an epic novel with rainbows and unicorns, you need to look elsewhere. This is gritty and bloody. But, I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the four books. Kudos to you, Emmet Moss. You took me on an epic journey…one I will miss.
Not once could you lose interest in the story but it was a real challenge to keep straight with all the different characters and scenarios. But the characters were well developed and worth following. The books need to be read in order to keep up with the story but when it all comes together in this last book it is awesome.
This well written tale drew me in early and kept a hold on me throughout the series. The characters herein became very real to me. I highly suggest this to anyone that enjoys the genre of Fantasy Fiction.
All of the characters whose stories are interwoven in the previous 3 books finally come together. Both tragic and victorious, the end caused both tears and joy.
There are some parts of the series that are very engaging. But often what can be said with 10 words it said with 40. Also it’s full of clichés .about honor and bravery that just get old. That said, I read the last four books, skipped over the verbose paragraphs, and enjoyed it somewhat.
They all collide throughout this series and especially in this final part.
Some parts of this book are dark, some are lighthearted and bring joy, some make you contemplate what you would do in the characters shoe.
The growth of the characters and seeing them look back at themselves is done in a way I’ve never experienced before.
I’ve grown as a person through this series and am truly thankful I’ve found it, I wanted a few months for this last book to come out and couldn’t remember looking forward to a storyline this much since I was a kid.
Thank you Emmet Moss, you are an amazing writer and have changed my life for the better, through this series I have gained more compassion, honor, and respect for the things I hold dear.
