5.0 out of 5 starsAn excellent romance novel.

This sci-fi romance was excellent. I really respected the author’s decision to have the first love scene be bad, and have the hero and heroine go through therapy to learn how to communicate with and listen to each other in a healthy way. I personally think this book would make good required reading for teenagers taking a sex Ed class. Bravo to the author for tackling such an important topic in a respectful, educational and healthy way. I think this may be the best book I have read by Ruby Dixon, because of the way it transcends the romance novel genre in such a powerful and yet non-threatening way.
Loved this next book in the series! At first, Bridget thought she might take A'tam as a pleasure mate but after their one night together, she didn't want to be near him. He couldn't even pronounce her name and he wouldn't listen to her. Oh but his kisses were hot! A'tam doesn't give up and finally starts to listen. He helps her with her pottery work and she realizes he can be sweet. Finally they get help with therapy and learn how to communicate with each other and that changes their relationship. This book delves deep into their issues and how they overcome them to be together.

This book was worth every minute of the wait! I got it at 1 am and finished it. It really pulled out issues that I think most people can relate to. No matter who you are. Learning how to communicate properly is extremely difficult!! The two make a great pair and I'm so happy they ended up together. There wasn't a lot of excitement in this book, but the feels it gave me were amazing. I am already looking forward to more!! Thank you for another perfect story on my favorite planet!

I loved this story because it helped me understand Bridget better. I didn't care for her in the other stories in the beginning of this series. This story felt so real to me in so many ways beginning with Bridget's relationship with her mom. Thank God my mom was not like hers but I understand the need to be loved by your mother. I really loved this story, and look forward to reading more from this writer. Thank you Ruby Dixon for writing such great stories that help us escape our everyday lives.
5.0 out of 5 starsFinally we get to the real story between A’tam and Bridget - Highly recommend

I DO NOT consider these stories to be stand-alone reads. This series is a spin-off from the Ice Planet Barbarians, although reading the original series is not needed to enjoy this particular story, I still highly recommend both of them be read in publication date order for maximum reader satisfaction and prevent spoilers.
This also contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, human trafficking, depression, etc.
Pretty much throughout the entire Icehome series, A’tam and Bridget have been like cats in heat. They are seriously attracted and drawn to one another, but they fight and argue almost every time they see each other after a night spent together were both had very different experiences.
Unfortunately Bridget’s experience felt more like an assault than anything else and wasn’t something she wanted to do again … like ever! A’tam is very confident, to the point of cockiness and he knows that she is meant to be his mate. He is not experienced and highly enjoyed their night together and doesn’t understand why Bridget will not be with him.
Throw those things in with the issues Bridget has developed after a lifetime of dealing with her mother, and you have a ton of miscommunications, hurt feelings and no helpful communication, but a great storyline!

Loved this book. I loved the characters backgrounds and how much you get to know them. I was worried I wouldn't like the couple, with all their past fighting but nope. LOVE them, and with their backstories I totally get it now. This book also had a lot more "steamier" parts which was a lot of fun. I love these books and I'm always amazed at how different they all are. You'd think there would be a limit on all the ideas Ruby could come up with on an ice planet but no, all the stories are wonderfully different and enjoyable. Cant wait for the next one.

I thought this was a well thought out book. I think we all either know someone like both these characters. We may even be one of the other. It's good to see how they work through the problems in their relationship. Communication IS the key to a good relationship no matter the type. I've read and in some cases re-read some of the Ice Planet Barbarians and Ice Home books. I've also read the Corsairs books, the Fire series, and everything else this author has written. Thanks to the pandemic, I've had a lot of read time.

So, I really wanted to slap Bridget for making a mountain out of a molehill. Of course A’tam was a bit clueless but dang it, he tried so hard and she was being too hard on him. I loved the idea of the speaking sticks, that actually helped A’tam more I think. I just love this series and can’t wait to learn more of the outcasts and who Daisy ends up resonating to.

Epic, of they would have just spoke to each other things could have been easily sorted, but where's the story in that lol! I loved A'tam and got to admit i was mostly on his side! But Bridget grew on me in the end.
Looking forward to the serial next as i don't read along with Facebook so I've been excited to finally get that!! And i agree with the author note, spending longer doesn't make a better book! You write at the speed you want, your books are perfect!!
3.0 out of 5 starsLong and difficult not so smooth

As we all know from before each pair has one time it gets into trouble..
This books is late and was talked since ice home beginning Bridget and atam love at first sighn
After month of month we get the story in a fast movement than it slows down and jumps in time again.
One part that's hard for authors when many story's are parallel.
I needet few days bec I couldn't read it in one row. The story felt like a packet you ordered and is later than the delivery day, at your house. So.. Don't know dry cake..
I loved other story's better
But you know maybe that it wasn't one of this...
Catstrophe story's appears ore something bad happens like with raven..
The story focused completely on the psychological side.
Like elly that has problemS with talking and being open
This one was about a guy that does what he wants and never use his brain and a woman that used her brain to much without being like our friend from ice home that has always bad thoughts.
It's different and again like with raven the past gets in the way to the future.
Now after crossreading there still 4 books left Hope no more aliens fall from sky?
I wish afterwards for a next generation Serie. Icehome Kids ore Icehome hires...
Bec our dear liddle one in Icehome did see the future couples aND the kids are plenty to get there own village maybe a new village between both camps? Near fruitcake ore elder cave? Pak. Should be in this too also all kids from Icehome and iceplanet.
Well done Ruby, now if only my ex was so wonderful to change…lol I’ve been reading these books for a couple of years & still enjoy them as they explore love in all forms. This is worth your time & money & if you are just starting you can binge on all Ruby Dixon’s books if you have Kindle Unlimited for the price of one book a month! Just love it. Ruby makes her characters the centre of her books were we as reader learn every detail about them & their world. I think Ruby’s books are wonderful & I think you’ll be as hooked as I am if you give them a try so enjoy & bask in the wonderful loving worlds Ruby Dixon has created. Take Care & Be Safe TGS
I love all of Ruby’s books and this one was just as good. I was eagerly waiting for these two characters to get their own book and was not disappointed in the way the story panned out. There is great depth in her characters. The personalities and behaviours are so realistic with the story moving along at a really good pace. Can not wait for her next book!
