It's rare (but so necessary) to find reading material from a husband/father's perspective of an infertility journey. I have always said, I wish more men shared their perspective...and this book does just that! As someone who also endured years of infertility, I soaked up the words on these pages which were written in such a heartfelt and transparent way. Michael and his wife Angelique's nearly 8 year journey to parenthood is incredible. I absolutely love that his Forward is written by their egg donor. This book is a unique compilation of his family's journey, poetry, all aspects of infertility and treatments, beautiful sentiments to his wife and triplets and just overall so great and informative - also written in an interesting way with a dash of humor. I could relate on so many levels, especially the line, "I personally didn't know how important having a family was to me until I was faced with the prospect of not having a family at all." That hit home for me. It is also awesome to know that we are both alumni of the same fertility center. I have to add that the author's wife is a complete warrior of a woman and deserves so much credit.
Thank you Mr. Cave for being a voice for the men who endure the same journey as us women but may not know how to put it into words, and for also connecting with your female readers as well. I hope others pull strength and perspective from reading this book, as I know did.
