1.0 out of 5 stars Same story over and over again

Not sure why I am even still reading these books - I just keep hoping for something better to happen. I loved the Buttons and Pain series (crow and pearl) so obviously I purchased these books. Conway and Muse were so boring - I literally was thought "wow this is a mild retelling of crow and pearl..."
and now we are here with Vanessa and Bones and their story started out much more entertaining.... but the last 2 have been all about how her parents hate him, and how he is a good man now, and blah blah. I am so BORED!!! I have skimmed paragraphs because I feel like they end up discussing and saying the same garbage again and again, just using slightly different words...
And to stretch this all out over 12, ~200 page books??? COME ON!!! If you are going to extend a story line using the same family, please come up with something a little more innovative and scandalous!! I feel like this series is a money pit.

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed Ms. Sky!

I'm not sure wth happened to Vanessa. She started off SO incredibly strong and fierce and she completely changed into this whiny, clingy annoying character. She literally puts Bones through the ringer with all the sacrifices he makes to keep her. This whole (and I use that word loosely) book is about her desperately trying and needing her family's approval for her relationship to last. She's a grown @$$ woman who used to have a spine and it vanished! Bones is my favorite leading male anti-hero in this whole series. He bends over backwards for Crow and Pearl's approval for the ENTIRE book. And the fact that Crow and Cane (Conway and Pearl too) are the epitome of hypocrites for judging Bones about how his and Vanessa's relationship began and his life choices in general is a load of crap. I can NOT believe how much Penelope is dragging out this storyline just to make $7 a freaking book! There's no reason for it other than greed. There wasn't any point in making us re-read almost the same story that was in the last book. Nothing changed! So aggravated I bought this entire series going off The Button Series. I had such high hopes for these but I obviously shouldn't have.

2.0 out of 5 stars It doesn’t take six books....

The books are great but are you really stretching one story over 6 books and charging $7 per book??? That’s $50 for one story. How is that fair to fans? This story was exhausting. I get that she loves her family but how do you try to sell us on her strength and independence when she literally can’t funcion without her family’s authorization. She was fierce in the first and second book. Now she’s just weak and whiny making the story exhausting and repetitive.ifeel like the same story is being recycled over every series.

5.0 out of 5 stars EPIC!!!!

Annnnnnd, I have NO words. I can’t stop screaming at my Kindle long enough to form them. Man. That cliffhanger. Seriously, That. Cliffhanger. WOW!!! It was EPIC. I’m unable to function from my book hangover after this one. Penelope Sky took it to a whole new level with Sassy in Lingerie, the eighth installment in the incredible Lingerie Series, and my heart may never be mended. Ahhhhh. Bones. Vanessa. Bones AND Vanessa. I may be forever ruined for all other couples. They are everything. And, this book HAS everything. It has it all. Drama, intrigue, love, passion, hate, anger. EVERYTHING.

You MUST, must, must read this book. It’s a masterpiece into human emotion. In Sassy in Lingerie, we get the Barsettis with all their stubborn anguish, temperamental prejudices, and unfailing loyalty. Bones and Vanessa set out on a course for acceptance from the Barsetti family and are met with fireworks at every turn. Will Bones ever be accepted or will he be forced to lose the love of his life to repay for the sins of his dead father? It’s a heartbreaking, (at times) frustrating, (but always) pulse pounding journey. You can actually FEEL Vanessa and Bones’s anguish at certain moments. Sassy is the timeless tale of star-crossed, forbidden love that pulls every heartstring. Love and hate collide when the sins of the past meet the hope for the future.

God. It’s a devastatingly, unnerving ride that will leave you shouting at the end. I cannot wait for the undoubtedly epic conclusion to Vanessa and Bones’s incredible love story. In the meantime, I suppose I’ll just countdown until the release of Divine in Lingerie (which, thankfully, drops next week). As for you, stop reading this review and get to reading THIS BOOK!!!! Oh, and buckle up. You’re in for a bumpy ride!!

4.0 out of 5 stars I want to give it 5*s

I just can’t, because Griffin and Vanessa’s story is being drug out. Getting all the story will cost $50, for an ebook. Ridiculous. In addition Foxy apparently will conclude their story, but will suck you n to Carter’s story. Too much. Three books would have been stretching, easily should be 2.
Griffin is my favorite hero of all the Barsetti characters. Yes he is dark. However he is honest. Crow is a jerk and more so Cane, a little more redeemable. They are complete hypocrites, especially Crow and Cane. I can only hope the next generation will find out soon what Cane did to Pearl and that Crow and Pearl both forgave him.
Vanessa does not deserve Griffin, but I am sure after being dragged out forever, they will be together

1.0 out of 5 stars Stop after Conways story

OK let me Start by saying this is one of my favorite authors and I loved the first few books in the series but in the last three books it has become very obvious that she is just milking people for money and it makes me sad. The whole story between bones and Vanessa could’ve been wrapped up in two books. It is so repetitive that’s the same exact sentence as a repeated over and over and over. I am literally skipping three pages at a time just looking for quotation marks and reading what the people are actually saying because I’m so sick of it. Now I’m over $50 in and of course I want to know how it ends so yeah she’ll get her money but I doubt I will read anymore of her books.
Penelope you are smart so you should know better than to screw over the people that buy your books.

5.0 out of 5 stars The treatment of Griffin is disgusting by Vanessa family

I really adore Bones even though he is depicted as evil originally, he is anything but. Crow on the other hand is a biget. We join the story where we left off. Bones/Griffin and Vanessa go to Tuscany to try and make amends. The treatment of Griffin is disgusting by Vanessa family. Penelope ‘s writing goes fro strength to strength, and I can’t get enough of this storyline, and talk about a cliff hanger. This is so unfair. Not long to wait till the next instalment though. In the meantime I am going to imagine ways to treat Crow, and Cane in the way they deserve. One cannot pretend to be pure and chaste when your heart, mind and soul are blacker and more sinister than the person you are accusing. The love between Griffin and Vanessa is so pure. It’s about time she too woke up and smelt the foul smell of sulphur that exudes from her beloved familiy’s pores. Great novel, great series, superb author.

A powerful portrayal of the saying”People who live in glass houses should not cast stones”. Despite the unwavering love and desire that Bones and Vanessa share and the hoops they must jump through the Barsetti’s deeply embedded hatred and prejudices towards Bones blind them to the fact that as a parent we love our children unconditionally irrespective of their questionable choices.
Powerful, passionate and heart wrenching.
