A Taste of Sweetness, A Blossom Hills Romance by Kate Alexander Scared and broken from past abusive relationships, Zoey is ready to find a way to get past her mistakes by moving to the small town that her best friend from college “Derek” is from. Zoey never found it easy to make new friendships with women, but with her new beginnings of opening a bakery, she may see a positive come from forming forever bonds. There are a few surprises and twists both good and bad in store for her. I couldn’t put this book down till I read it entirely in 1 1/2 days. I would compare this Author to some of the early writings of Nora Roberts and Susan Mallery with a few sexy scenes to hold your attention. I hope to read more from Kate Alexander. I obtained a complimentary copy from the Author via Voracious readers for an honest review. JKSlovestoread/JudyKU/LuvsKU/JudySamson
4.0 out of 5 starsSmall town charm, Amazing Characters, Sweet Romance

This is my first Kate Alexander novel and I'm not disappointed in the least.
This story is about Zoey who escapes a controlling ex-boyfriend. At the urging of her best friend Derek, she moves to Blossom Hills were she opens up a bakery. On the night she arrives, she's so tired, she crashes on the couch of what she thinks is her place. Only to be surprised and awoken by Tyler.
Tyler moves back to Blossom Hills from Philidelphia after a bad relationship and the loss of a job. Using his software development skills, he opens a business. In his free time, he's quiet, moody, and not a morning person. His best friend is Chase.
I really enjoyed this story, the characters, the town, and the dynamics of friendship. I found myself laughing, feeling sad, and just having the feels when it comes to the romance in this story.
Big props to the character development because when you have this many characters in a book, they often become peripheral people that are not engaging or interesting. Alexander did a great job of making sure all the characters were included and I found that I liked something about each one.
P.S. When you get to the frosting scene...Let's just say, yum! ;)
Great story and I'm looking forward to the next in the Blossom Hills Romance Series. :)
5.0 out of 5 starsAn adorable, small town romance with plenty of charm, humor, drama, and romance

A Taste of Sweetness is an adorable, small town romance with plenty of charm, humor, drama, and romance. Zoey is recovering from a terrible, abusive relationship and trying to start fresh in Blossom Hills and achieve her dream of opening her own bakery. And she certainly doesn't expect to wake up on the couch of a complete stranger. But Tyler, newly arrived to Blossom Hills himself, may be the missing ingredient in her life. The other side characters in this novel- Derek, Ariel, Chase, Dixie, Josie, and more-are fantastic additions and make me really excited to read books more from Kate Alexander set in Blossom Hills. I was provided with a free copy of this book. This is my honest review.
Kate Alexander gives us a story of Zoey, a woman who has had a string of bad relationships, who makes the decision to chuck her past behind her and start new in a small town and follow her dream. Her past, however, isn’t ready to let her go. Tyler, the good looking geek, manages to convince Zoey to take one more chance on love. The book is full of interesting characters and enough drama to keep the reader engaged. This is the first book in the Blossom Hill Romance series. Alexander has made a nice set up for the next couple.
