The Voracious Reader
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Quick Read

Camila Cruz needs the plumbing contract for the large, new housing development going up in Three Rivers. Her plumbing company is hustling to stay solvent. When she sees her abusive ex-boyfriend there to place his bid, she wants the job more than ever. She can’t stand the thought of Wade hanging around Three Rivers.

Dylan Walker is in much the same boat. He wants the electrical bid for Three Rivers Electric Company. When he meets Cami at the construction office, sparks fly. He had met her before, but that didn’t go well. Will this be different, and can he convince the fiery woman that they might have something special together? If he can, this certainly will be a Christmas to remember.

This was a fun, quick-to-read book. Dylan came across a little too alpha for me, but underneath he wasn’t nearly so sure about himself. Likewise, Cami had a quick trigger, but she also came to her senses and got over her anger quickly if she realized she was wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Christmas Story!

I’ve read several of Liz Isaacson’s books and have never been disappointed. This was a fun book of two lonely people, Cami is a plumber in a man’s world and Dylan is a city electrician. Dylan has liked Cami for a while but can’t get past her prickly personality. They both win bids in the building of a local subdivision. They get to know each other more and Cami decides to take a risk. Someone is trying to sabotage Cami’s work and Dylan steps in to help her. Meanwhile he is in charge of electrical duties for the Christmas floats this year. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and the fun Christmas settings. A great book to read any time but especially during the Christmas season.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very sweet clean romance

I absolutely adored everything about this story. I also loved Three Rivers and all of the citizens that dwell in that small town. There is so much love, and unconditional acceptance from all of the people in that town. Makes me wish I lived there.
This was a really fun book to read. It's a sweet romance that involves two lonely people. Cami is a plumber working hard to be accepted in a man’s world, but it isn't an easy job. And Dylan is a city electrician, with so many thing heaped upon his plate, that it doesn't leave much time for a social life. Dylan and Cami are as different as night and day, but somehow they find a way to make their relationship work.

This is a really sweet, clean romance story that's sure to melt your hearts. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I absolutely love Three Rivers and everyone there. This story melted my heart. It shows how love can triumph. The two most unlikely to be together fell in love and were so perfect for each other. Completely balanced each other out. Another wonderful, heartwarming story that feels so real. I feel as though I'm a part of the town with them.

Great reading and great demonstration that truth and honesty are a reward in life. Busy working their way through the seasons and associated holidays brings Cami and Dylan to the Christmas season when they help get the floats and sleigh ready for the Christmas parade. Unfortunately, someone is seeking revenge against the community for something that happened years before.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet romance

Cami has been hurt and doesn't trust men. She also has a temper. Dylan is lonely and ready for a serious relationship. But he has a reputation as a player. Both are involved in a building project, one as an electrician and the other as a plumber, so their paths cross frequently. A mystery takes center stage for a brief moment, but otherwise the story focuses on the lovely couple working through their personal issues and differences.

A sweet story with very enjoyable characters. You think it is only fiction that someone hurt at a very young age grows up with revenge and the desire to hurt back, but it happens. Praise the Lord for his forgiveness and for helping us be able to forgive.

I enjoyed the interaction between the main characters. The bit of drama that was thrown in had me worrying for a short while, but I was thrilled when it was resolved quickly and life went on as I had hoped. Enjoyable story to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars A sweet romance

A pleasant story, an easy, quick read for a lazy day. Cami and Dylan are both a little lost, something missing from both their lives, but they are both too shy to admit their love for each other. It takes a catastrophic work issue that could lose both of them their jobs to make them finally work together and look towards a shared future.

A gentle love story
