There is absolutely EVERYTHING to love about this book. I have literally read it multiple times now. Hawthorne is the master at weaving heat, feels and angst together - especially in this book. Daddy Jordan is by far the hottest, most caring daddy ever! He gives his boy just what he needs not realizing Danny is what he needs too. There's an underlying vulnerability when he realizes what started out as some really hot fun turns into so much more. Danny is adorably sweet but has an inner strength when he needs it. Love was not in the cards for these two- especially since Danny is the son of his best friend. When it unexpectedly happens it's all the feels- fun, jealousy, love and sweet lord the sex will MELT your kindle. All of Hawthorne's books are smartly written and this is no exception. The dialogue sucks you into the story. Her characters are never cookie cutter- there are definitely secondary characters (Toby) that you will just adore. The story has perfect twists that will keep you up past bedtime to finish the book. You literally can't put it down! You NEED this book... SERIOUSLY!

Oh how I loved Daddy Jordan and his sweet boy Danny. It was sweet but oh so spicy. Separate they were sassy and funny, but get them together and they steam up the pages. They were lots of fun getting to know and watch as their romance grew and changed. Even though they only meant for it to be a temporary thing and not to mean what it did, it was hard to deny the unmistakable chemistry and love that was between them. They both had reservations about how this would work out but in the end they couldn't deny the truth. I really liked seeing their connection grow and change and how the dynamic really worked out for them both. The way that Jordan took care of Danny and did what he could for him while still keeping it under wraps was interesting. I love that dynamic and the sweet surrender that Danny gave to him was amazing. There was a give and take that really worked and when it all came out they were still there for each other no matter what may happen.
