This was the first book that I read in this series and I am wondering why? This book was really good! I am going to read the previous books and I really liked how Ms. St. James explained how the devastating fires affected her and her family. The characters were great and I loved the story, Jaycee is a wonderful main character but all of them together make the story. Gramps and the Amazonian duo Heidi & Bridget really help her out. It was fast paced and exciting. I am really looking forward to catching up while waiting for a new book.
With Gramps on his honeymoon and a fire consuming property a couple of county's over. The last thing Jaycee needed was another murder to investigate. While on the phone with a friend, she hears her asking someone why they were there. Just before the gunshots went off.
Yes, Jaycee and the gang are at it again. With more clues, and danger that they could believe they'd be in.
A fun story with lots of action and solid characters.
An interesting story about murder and a wild fire that is destroying a lot of towns, cities. When a Artist and a friend was shot, Jaycee and her friends investigate. Was it the husband, her ex agent, the mistress, a thug? This was a storyline that you wanted to keep reading until you found out who did it!
The Sullivan sisters and their crime solving friends and family team up to solve the murder of a good friend and the theft of her paintings. Set against a backdrop of a huge wildfire, it adds a personal view of the fires that are happening in California now.
