This is the first time I've read Logan's work and I have to say I'm really impressed with it, I've read all 5 books in this series in a week. The story pulls you in the way a good book should & the books flow effortlessly into one and other which keeps you turning the figurative page.
Along with the books that precede this in the Scholomance Series, this book is compulsive reading. Cole is determined to the best he can be in facing powers beyond his control. Though a student, together with his fiercely loyal and steadily increasing coven, he assumes significant leadership roles as he grows into his powers. Is he batting for the wrong side? This book series turns concepts of good and evil on their heads. Read this and you're in for a wild ride. I look forward to the next book.
I have been hooked quite fast on the serie. did read the first one just a few days ago. it is a good reading if you are in fantasy worlds, erotism and harem. It is interesting that the author makes you take the PoV of the evil side, and make them likable. The fierce loyalty of the girls and the Hero to their belief is nice too. I wonder where the story will go and will continue to read the 6th book. I am just worried that the hero is getting maybe too powerful. the other characters should have their heroic part too. Also, the story is a bit too much in the rush... some scene showing normal days in school would help deepening the relationships. Honestly, the characters are great, and wel defined, but as the series goes on, they do not evolve much. the harem part doesn't bother me, i like it. and I am looking forward for more women to follow our Hero, students and professors ;-))
