I couldn't put this book down! Once I started I had to keep on reading and reading and reading! It was that good! Her story is honest and authentic as she came to terms with her alcoholism and learned how to live sober and learn to deal with the issues that caused her to turn to alcohol. This book is relatable and helpful for anyone, not just someone dependent on alcohol or substance abuse. I recommend it as an inspirational, encouraging story of overcoming and hope.

This book defines the ability to walk the talk and not let others expectations or social perception define who you are. It makes you aware that in order for change, you must be the change and you must take accountability. Crystal defines what a modern day woman can achieve when she sets her mind to it. Thoughtful, inspiring, uplifting and relatable, this book is a must!!!

Amazing book of overcoming incredible odds. Inspiring, riveting account of transformation. All audiences will identify in some way as a reminder we are never a victim to what life hands us. It may be more difficult if you make comparisons, but we all have a choice. Waltman nails this idea.

Quitting to Win: A Proven Plan to Let Go of Bad Habits, Learn to Feel, and Love Yourself by Crystal Waltman was gifted to me at the perfect moment. I was questioning my worth and purpose. Waltman touches on so many powerful messages. One that I love and hits me in my solar plexus is "Emotional Sobriety" and the idea of strengthening and maintaining my spiritual fitness. Waltman's straightforwardness is such a breath of freshness and allows me to feel equal. The author has no problem getting in the sandbox to help me figure out my strategies to face life. Waltman's transparency of sharing her past reminds me that we are all in this together. Quitting to Win does not end with the author demonstrating that she is like everyone, but provides stretching exercises that promote health, flexibility, and circulation. This book provided me tools to stop self-sabotaging, eating to live, quit running someone else's race, turning off my inner voice, and how to become a Peaceful Warrior. Thank you so much.
